It's great to finish a build and even better to have the forum back so I can post it! :-D This is an AMT '40 Ford coupe carved up just the way I like it - someone on here once said to, when it came to hogging windows and such, "think beer and a Sawzall!" - I love it, one of my favorite phrases. The body is sitting on what else but my dear friend the Slammer, with my usual tweaks here and there. Topcoat is Rustoleum gloss white, frame is Rustoleum flat black, pipes and rims are Rustoleum gloss orange but hit with Testor's Dull-cote.
The color scheme was inspired by this beauty: http://seniortourautoracers.com/carlson_0.htm

Thanks for looking...

Another nice clean build Bill. Your are about ready for a feature race with all the mods you have built.

Wow! What a slick, clean and sneaky low-slung coupe this is! The color combination is really nice, too. Nothing not to like about this little jewel! - David

In my day. You had to have a bigger window opening to get in.
Looks good.

Now this is one speed bump eater! I love how low she is and she looks mean just sitting there! Great job on everything Bill! ;)

Thanks very much, guys. You're all so very kind as usual.
I have plenty of orange left over and I'm using it quite liberally on my current build. Getting pretty jazzed about it! :-D

I looked at your coupe...and said...WOW that's HOT! I'll post that....seems to be a consensus here..LOL

I've never built one of these open wheel kits.....if I ever do..I want it to look something like this one! Love the orange headers. Like what you did with the rear nerf bars.

As a good mate of mine used to say,"Only the first cut hurts!" This looks way better than the usual Tobias or Slammer bodies - love your work!

Cheers
Alan
